And that's the best case scenario. <br /><br />The flip side is that he might not be seeing the ball as well, or might not be getting to balls that he used to be able to hit. Basically, Eckstein and the Nats wanted him to swing more, and take less walks.<br /><br />He did just that. Problem is, when you swing and miss as much as he does... you're going to get more strikeouts.<br /><br />He used to sit on pitches and takes one he didn't like... now he's swinging early in the count to be aggressive. It's leading to more power, but also more K's.<br /><br />Easily correctable and not a trend of what's to come for the future.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
